Barbara Meloling Obituary

Barbara Meloling of Wallingford passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Skyview Nursing and Rehab in Wallingford, CT after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born in Walden, NY on December 9, 1941 to William and Ruth (Eckler) Warren and grew up in East Haven CT. She raised her family in New Haven. After graduating from Eli Whitney Technical School, she worked as a LPN at Yale New Haven Hospital and then various medical offices in New Haven County. Her caring and compassion touched many lives. She enjoyed country music, was a huge Elvis fan and loved her cats most of all. Her presence was a bright spot at birthdays, holidays and family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her family: sons: Warren (Cindy) Meloling of High Point, NC and Brian Meloling of Manchester, CT, grandchildren: Shaun and Faith, sisters-in-law: Terry and Joyce, several nieces and nephew, cousin Sheri (Ed) and BFF Nancy. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by brothers William Warren Jr and Donald Warren, and son Glen Meloling. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Skyview and Beacon Hospice for their exceptional care to Barbara. There will be no funeral services. The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, have been entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of Barbara's life will take place at a future date. Donations can be made in her memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org/donate)
