Frederick Stein Obituary

Frederick Stein, 90, of Lantana, Florida, passed away on April 22. Born in Hartford, CT, on February 27, 1935, he was the son of the late Michael and Sadie Stein. Fred graduated from Weaver High School and was a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut. He married his beloved late wife Shirley in 1959, sharing 58 wonderful years together. Fred raised his family in Newington, CT, and was a partner at Deloitte. He had a talent for bringing laughter to those around him. He loved animals and enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, singing and rooting for the Yankees, Giants and UConn basketball. Most important was spending time with family and friends. He leaves behind his children, Jeff Stein and his wife Linda, Lauren Lazzaro and her husband James, as well as his precious grandchildren: Ariel Stein, Samantha and Nick Alter, Jake and Lexi Stein and Matthew Lazzaro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT. Interment will follow in Congregation B'nai Shalom Memorial Park, Jordan Lane Ext., Wethersfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
