I am one of his nephews from one of his 17 siblings (Dolores' son Don). I remember enjoying many happy visits from Uncle Gil and his family during their winter vacations to New Brunswick, Canada. Uncle Gil made has laugh so much that we would "almost" wet our pants. He always had a joke to tell or playing a prank. He was often the "life of the Party". I know my brothers and I, as well as our many cousins, will miss him a lot. I have been blessed to have such wonderful Aunts and Uncles that were lots of fun to be around and enjoyed each other's company. Uncle Gil was a "good" man and you could always count on him if you needed a helping hand. He was a great worker, a good family man and provider.
I am truly saddened by his passing and I expect that there will be one heck of a party upon his arrival in heaven as his siblings great him - I suspect that he may already have plenty of jokes and pranks that he will be ready to get "that party going!". They say a "man's worth can be measured by how much he will be missed after he moves on" - to me, my Uncle Gil was truly a rich man!
My deep condolences go out to Aunt Adrienne and my cousins Daniel, Lise, and Joanne. Remember the "happy" times with him (glad to say there were many!). Kindest regards, Don
