Joan Morgan Obituary

Joan Morgan, 53, of Prospect passed away peacefully while enfolded in the love of her family on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brave battle with lung cancer. Born November 11, 1971 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Wicker and Audrey Smith. She was a Care Director for the Village at East Farms. You could find Joni either on her deck, in her garden, at work, doing hair, spending time with her friends and children or on the back of a Harley. Joni had a laugh that was contagious and always one to have a great time, she truly lit up any room she walked into. Any occasion to be had you could guarantee she was the first to offer her home to celebrate. Her legacy is a true testament to the incredible woman she was; Caring, loving, loyal, an amazing mother, Grammy, friend, daughter, sister and aunt, and a warrior. Joni leaves to cherish her love her children Edward Steele of Wolcott, Kolbi Morgan and her significant other Jake and Alyssa Ferrucci and her husband Joseph of Pa. and her precious grandchildren Maeve, Malcolm and Madeleine Ferrucci. Joni also leaves her brothers Andrew and Christopher Wicker and sisters Debbie and Terri Cornwall. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Daniel Sweeney Services will take place in the future. Please don't take your loved ones life for granted. Tell them you love them and care about them. Understand that life is short and death is inevitable. I am grateful and proud of my little sister for putting on a brave face, being a true warrior. For being there when I needed her. I truly wish I could have been there for her. My heart breaks for her children having to endure the pain of losing her. It's been a nightmare. She is God's hands now, along with her father. They will always be in my heart and thoughts. May God bless and protect them through this difficult moment.

My heart goes out to Joni´s family. I have fond memories of our childhood friendship on Evening Star Drive. She grew up to be a wonderful person with a beautiful family. She will be deeply missed.
