Marilin Sudarsky Obituary

Marilin Freda Sved Sudarsky, 95, of Hamden, CT, and more recently of Newtown, CT, passed away August 20, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Morris Sudarsky. Born on August 5, 1930 in the Bronx, NY, Marilin was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Kirman) Sved. She was the cherished mother of Felicia (Michael) Rumanoff of Cheshire, CT, and Cynthia (Eric) Greenfeld of Brookfield, CT. Adored grandmother of Douglas (Carly) Rumanoff, Leslie (Paul) DeStefano, Justin Greenfeld and Scott (Casey) Greenfeld. Proud great grandmother of Mackenzie and Juliana DeStefano, Jayden and Harper Rumanoff, and Jack and Teddy Greenfeld. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Edwin Sved. Marilin carried on her family's dental legacy by becoming a dental hygienist. She cared for long time patients in the New Haven area for over 40 years. She also enjoyed playing mah jong and canasta, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and adult coloring. Funeral services will be graveside Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 at 60 Fitch Street, New Haven. Donations may be made to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund at Temple Beth Sholom, 1809 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517, or to a charity of one's choice.
