Nelson Joseph McLaughlin

Nelson Joseph McLaughlin, born on March 8, 1964, in Pittsburgh, PA to James William McLaughlin and Ona Hensler McLaughlin, died on July 28, 2025, in East Haven, CT. Nelson grew up in Durham and graduated from Coginchaug Regional High School, Class of 1982. He attended Franklin Pierce College and Central CT State University. In his youth, Nelson was a gifted athlete. Along with his parents, Nelson leaves to mourn his sisters, Ona C. McLaughlin of Durham and Amanda Stankoski (Edward) of Colchester and his nephew Benjamin Stankoski of Colchester. He was predeceased by a brother Charles John McLaughlin and a favorite aunt Carla Tumpson. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
