Robert K. "Bob" Meehan

Robert "Bob" Keith Meehan, 58, of Newington, passed away on April 14, 2025. He was born in Westerly, RI on July 15, 1966, son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Grip) Meehan. Bob grew up in Newington and graduated from Newington High School, Class of 1985. He was a huge fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel movies, and had an impressive comic book collection. Bob loved any and all tchotchkes and knick-knacks. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, and listening to all kinds of music, especially The Grateful Dead. Bob was an animal lover and cat whisperer, and leaves behind his beloved fur babies Phoebe, Muggles, Madgie, and Blue. He was also an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Bob will be greatly missed by those lucky enough to know him. Bob is survived by his daughter Nicole and her boyfriend Sebby; his fiancé Teresa Vaillancourt; brother Kevin J. Meehan and his wife Lisa; aunt Sandy Grip; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his aunt Marjorie Mals and her husband Andrew "Jerry" Mals; uncles Ronald Grip and his wife Ann, and Peter Grip; and lifelong friend Eli. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bob's family on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
