Scott Edward Mellor

Scott Edward Mellor 66, of Hamden, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. Scott was born in Meriden, February 22, 1959, a son of the late George Mellor, Jr. and the late Lorraine (Dalton) Mellor. Scott spent his childhood on a small Wallingford farm with his parents and four siblings. For many years he lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, working on shrimp boats and enjoying life on the bayou with his friends. In recent times, he returned to Connecticut, where rekindled old relationships and began new ones and earned a living refinishing wood floors. He loved being on or near the water, fishing and crabbing, telling stories, good food, and family. Scott leaves behind his siblings: Christine Mellor Sirois, George Mellor III (Chip) and his wife Linda Mellor, and Bonny Mellor Pappacoda and her husband Nick Pappacoda; nieces and nephews: Joel Sirois, Jean Mellor, Jody Mellor, Andrew Mellor, Marlo Mellor, Bryan Mellor, Abbey Rae, Amy Crook, and Jillian Crook; several great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Scott was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Mellor and his nephews John David Horta and Jared Mellor Sirois. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, May 27th at 1:00pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 64 N. Main St., Wallingford.
