Bill was a man of simple joys and a homebody by nature. His evenings were often spent watching "Gunsmoke", "Iron Chef ", and Cheaters. Bill spent time challenging his mind by doing word searches. Along with partaking in Fried Fish and BBQ, he also enjoyed the crunch of ice, the sweetness of bananas, and the crisp refreshment of a zero-sugar soda.
Bill's passion for the great outdoors was undeniable. He cherished the thrill of fishing and hunting, patiently tracking deer and coyotes. Bill immersed himself in the dirt of his garden or you could find him riding on one of his garden tractors. His affinity for running heavy equipment was an extension of his desire to shape and foster growth, whether it be in his own backyard or in the larger expanses of his community. He retired from the Marion County Highway Department.
The music of the Beach Boys and Alan Jackson provided the soundtrack to Bill's life.
Bill's legacy is deeply rooted in the simple pleasures he cherished and the natural wonders he respected. His life will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Bill Goellner, Joe Ferguson, Ben West, Pete Fee, Mike Schaefer, Steve Drebenstedt and Carl McElwee.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill's grandchildren.
