Jeremy CURTIS Obituary

MENDON, Ill. -- Jeremy W. Curtis, 32, of Hannibal, Mo., formerly of Mendon, died at 6:27 p.m. on Friday (June 4, 2010) in the Blessing Hospital Emergency Room in Quincy. Jeremy was born on June 8, 1977, to Lurman W. Curtis and Donna Jo Ann (Briggs) King. Jeremy enjoyed playing and writing music, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He loved being around family and friends, being silly and making people laugh. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Lurman and Christine Curtis of Mendon, mother and stepfather, Donna and Stan King of Williamsfield; maternal grandmother, Nancy Briggs of Burlington, Iowa; fiancée, Cindy Myers of Hannibal, Mo.; three children, Zach, Zoey, and Amaya Myers of Hannibal; brothers and sisters, William King of Williamsfield, Bobby Barnes (Kim) of Quincy, Jeremy King (Kandy) of Williamsfield, Mathew King (Lindsey) of Davenport, Iowa, Elonda Polito of Del Rio, Texas, Angela Morrissey of Hastings, Fla., Christine Stupavsky (Roger, Jr.) of Payson, Elizabeth King of Williamsfield; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, and his paternal grandparents. SERVICES: 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon, with Deacon James Godert conducting. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The family would also like to request casual attire be worn for the visitation and services. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family. ARRANGEMENTS: Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon. WEBSITE: www.hunterfh.com. Its hard to believe you are gone. Everywhere I look, in every room in the house, as well as outside we are surrounded by your work.
