Shirley enjoyed keeping busy. Never slowing down, she enjoyed dancing, bowling, and car rides. On the rare times when she was at home, she could be found watching Golden Girls, or Everybody Loves Raymond. She also enjoyed cooking and was an excellent chef and baker. Her specialties were fried chicken, sausage & gravy, Oreo balls, and peanut clusters. However, her chef skills didn't stop her from having her weekly meal at Sprout's or enjoying her favorite candy: Dark Chocolate Milky Ways. In addition to her cooking talents, Shirley was also a talented jewelry maker and specialized in making beautiful bracelets. She loved to get away from the cold Midwest, by taking cruises to enjoy some warm weather. She cruised to the Caribbean several times and visited Hawaii twice; where she had previously lived for 9 years. Above everything, Shirley loved her family. She was her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren`s number one fan at any of their events. She often made sure to let them know how much their "Boo Boo" loved them. She cherished every moment she got to spend with her family,
