Shirley also enjoyed being with family and friends, especially her two close friends, Ethel Mowen and Dorothy Davis.

In addition to being a homemaker, Shirley was employed at Davis Cleaver, Packaging Corporation of America, Quincy Paper Box and Kerasotes Theater.

Survivors include a daughter, Jana (Mike) Huelskoetter of Chatham; a son, Steven M. Caine of Quincy; two granddaughters, Dianna (Calvin) Parrish of Quincy and Kelly Ross of Acworth, Ga.; two great-granddaughters, Kennedy Ross and Zepplyn Ross; a son in law, Steve Heaton of Deltona, Fla.; a sister, Norma Ames of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Sarah Griffith of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
