Virginia Lynn Aldridge

1962 - 2018

Virginia Lynn (McKim) Aldridge, 55, of Hurdland, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown.

She was born in Kirksville on Nov. 7, 1962, a daughter of Robert Leroy and Lela Bernice Hatfield McKim. She was united in marriage to Shawn Aldridge on Aug. 5, 1997, in Kirksville.

Virginia received her education in Knox County schools. She was employed as a CNA for nursing homes in Knox County, Memphis and LaBelle. She enjoyed mowing, fishing, crocheting and time with her grandkids and her dachshund dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Shawn Aldridge of Hurdland; her father, Robert Leroy (Addie) McKim of LaGrange; stepfather, Howard (Wanda) Garrett of LaPlata; three daughters, Karanda (Patrick) Robbins, Tonya Barnes and Catherine (Tyler) Christiansen, all of Kirksville; a stepson, Brandon Aldridge of Moberly; two stepdaughters, Katrina Hustead of Rutledge and Kayla Aldridge of Moberly; two brothers, Jimmy Head of Kirksville and Robert L. McKim Jr. of LaGrange; two sisters, Patricia McKim of Durham and Brenda (Keith) Cady of Greentop; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Hatfield; her brother, Robert D. McKim Sr.; and one daughter, Charity McKim.
