Birute Skabeikis

Birute Skabeikis, age 81, of Carver passed away on July 24, 2015, after a short illness. Born in Lithuania, she was the daughter of the late Ona and Kazys Ulevicius. She was the wife of the late Al Skabeikis; loving mother of Ellen Zemeitus and her husband Bob of Middleboro, Ausra Moller and her husband Rick of Seekonk, Ed Skabeikis and his wife Pam of Carver, and the late Lisa Skabeikis-Watson; dear grandmother of Christina Abair, Alycia McCarthy, Bob Zemeitus Jr., Ryan Skabeikis-Watson, Roger Duphilly, Leah Fornier and Jessica Meurch; much loved great-grandmother of Layne and Jeremy Abair, Jesse Zemeitus, Nathan McCarthy; her cousin and best friend, Aldona Adams of Easton. Birute enjoyed her beautiful flowers and plants, cooking Lithuanian dishes, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Peter Lithuanian Church Friday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Central Cemetery in Carver.
