Edward R. Santoro, 76, of Middleton and Fort Lauderdale, FL beloved husband of Maria (Tringali) Santoro of Middleton, passed away peacefully with the comforting presence of his family on Sunday July 31, 2011 at the Masconomet Healthcare Facility in Topsfield. Born in Watertown, he was the son of the late Emidio Santoro and Rose (Corazzini) Santoro Tolleson. He grew up with his mother and step-father, the late Rose & Lewis Tolleson, in Watertown, and graduated Salutatorian from Watertown High School. He attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, and also studied post-graduate work at the Bentley College of Accounting. Mr. Santoro enrolled in the U.S. Army just after the Korean War, and remained in the Reserves for six years. He was employed by Arthur Andersen & Co. as a CPA. Ed lived in Arlington for several years, and was on the Arlington Republican Town Committee for 7 years in the 1960s. He then moved to Peabody where he lived for 27 years until moving to Middleton 15 years ago. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, following the stock market, and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He was active in St. Adelaides Parish, mostly with the Silver Social and the Annual Bazaar. He will be dearly missed by family and friends, and remembered for his faith, devotion and loyalty that supported his strong family values.
