Jeanette F. Wall

Jeanette F. (Gushue) Wall, of Hingham, passed away March 5, 2013 at the age of 91. Jeanette grew up in Dorchester and lived in Wollaston for many years before moving to Hingham 50 years ago. She participated in many organizations in Hingham including the Hingham Mothers Club, Hingham Community Center and Catholic Club. She volunteered at South Shore Hospital, the Senior Center and the Food Pantry. Jeanette had a love for music, dancing and theater which led to performing in the first Cabaret by Hinghams Community Center over 40 years ago and was proud to be one of their longest running performers. She was also inducted in the Guiness Book of World Records for participating in the largest tap performance in honor of Betty Boop. As an active member of the Linden Ponds Community, her involvement includes but is not limited to, the Welcome Committee, theater production and chorus assembly. She also enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with friends and family. She will be sadly missed. Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Wall. Devoted mother of Janice M. McElroy and her husband Paul of Sandwich, Joanne M. Wall of Sacramento, CA, and James S. Wall, D.M.D and his wife SueAnn of Sandwich. Cherished Mum of grandchildren: Jessica E. Garrity, Jared S. McElroy, Jonathan P. McElroy, Gregory J. Wall, Joseph R. Wall, Andrew J. Wall, Caroline E. Wall and GiGi to her great-grandchildren: Ryan M. and Brandon P. Garrity and Reese A. and Holden N. McElroy. Loving sister of George Gushue of Dorchester, Eileen Flanagan of Pocasset and the late John and Edward Gushue. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend of Mary Moran of Dorchester. Vsiting hours were on Friday, March 8, from 4 - 8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Relatives and friends gathered in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 a.m. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
