Charles Edlund Obituary

Charles P. Edlund Jr., 65, of Bridgewater, formerly of East Bridgewater and Easton, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the VA Boston Healthcare System in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, a son of Evelyn R. (Richardson) Edlund of Easton and the late Charles P. Edlund, he was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. A veteran of the Vietnam War he served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. Upon honorable discharge he began working as a truck driver and was employed by LaBarron Foundry of Brockton. A former member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club, he was a member of the American Poolplayers Association and was an avid 8 ball pool player. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. In addition to his mother Evelyn, he is survived by a daughter, Heather Edlund of Brockton; and his siblings, Ronald T. Edlund of San Antonio, Texas ., Carl F. Edlund of Epping, N.H., Christina L. Wyss-Edlund of Middleboro, Carolyn R. Roscoe of Easton, Brian K. Edlund of Epping, N.H. and Eric R. Edlund of Taunton; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late John M. Edlund. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 3 - 6 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138), Easton. In lieu of flowers donations, in Charles memory may be set to VA Boston Healthcare System Patient Needs Account, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. 02301.
