Dr. Paul & Audrey Mahoney

July 8, 2015

We have many great memories that we have shared through the years. My husband, Paul, started working for "Doc" while in the 6th grade through his years at Stonehill College until he went to medical school.
Bill was like a father to Paul, and if it wasn't for Bill he wouldn't have gone on to become a doctor.
We have only been in touch through letters and cards for the past few years because of health reason.
Bill was a man who did many things for so many people that no one ever knew about, and for that we will never forget "Doc"
Our love and prayers to Joan and the family.

Dr. Bill was my Rotary friend! It was always such a delight to see him on Thursday mornings with that smile on his face. He warmed the room and I will and do miss him. God Bless you Joan and may he give you peace as you heal from the loss of this wonderful man!! Uncle Louie will be missed!

When we lived in Easton in the 50's and 60's my mother took all our animals to Dr. Lloyd. When I married I took my own animals there. When he left the practice I started going to one of the other vets he had. To this day I feel that I have the best vet available, next to Dr. Lloyd.

Dr. Lloyd (I knew him when I was a child) was a kind and good man. I am glad that my father was able to help him start his animal hospital.
I remember the pungent smell of the antiseptic and the sound of the clattering of claws on the linoleum floor of the waiting room as our reluctant golden was gently led into the examining room.

Sometimes as I take one of my cats to the vet I think of the visits I used to take to Stoughton. Well worth the trip just to have a conversation with Dr. Lloyd. He always told it like it was. He and Dr. D. took such good care of Tiger Lily. Photo is of
Tiger Lily II. I hope he enjoyed his retirement. He will be at peace now, and his loved ones left with so many memories.

My husband and I never had the pleasure of knowing Doc Lloyd, but we heard so many wonderful things about him. We spent many hours at the old and new clinics with our pets, prior to leaving Stoughton. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you grieve the loss of this fine man.
