I had the pleasure of knowing Don and played with him on the Whitman Town Team. He was a great athlete and friend. I was only 18 then and he took me under his wing. He paved my driveway over 40 years ago with excess material and refused payment. That´s the kind of man I knew. RIP Don..

Don Martin is and was a power of example. I grew up being very good friends with one of his sons. and if you were close to one of Don's children then you automatically become a member of the Martin family. All amazing people. From a young age i began to watch Mr. Martin; the way he loved his wife, the way he loved his kids, the way he walked with humility and strength . Nobody worked harder to provide for their family then Don. He taught me so much thru his actions. He gave me a roadmap to being a man of purpose and dignity and taught me to give and take ; GIVE MORE AND TAKE LESS .To serve my family, friends, country and the greater good. I will carry Don and his powerful legacy in my heart and continue to honor him by serving the world and not myself - just like Donald Martin always did !! With great respect and love, Billy Fahey
