Barbara Chafin Obituary
DELBARTON, W.Va. — Barbara (Ben) Chafin, 59, of Delbarton, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and family.
She was born September 9, 1954, at Logan to the late Harris Mike and Mary Lee (Stivers) Ben. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Elizabeth (Ben) Vance and two brothers, Crit Ben, and Little Harris Ben.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Ronald "Rompy" Chafin, children, Shannon (Jerry) Baisden, Mary Chafin (Tom Bailey), Terri (Jimmy) Davis, Tamara Sue (T.J.) Warden, all of Delbarton, and Tomara Ruth (Allen) Lester of North Carolina; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren whom she loved with every breath she had in her, Lajeana Aldredge her longtime special friend; three sisters, Ruth Vinson, Nancy (Mike) Blevins, Fanny (Clyde) Neace; one special brother-in-law, Ronnie (Nadine) Vance; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special aunts, uncles.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 06, 2014, at the New Day Family Worship Center at Monaville, with Pastors Mike Hicks and Larry Ramey officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the church. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Grandsons will be doing the honor of pallbearers, and Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Baisden, Tom Bailey, Jimmy Davis, T.J. Warden, Teddy Hagy, and Bob Lucas.

Barb was a fantastic person. We had one awesome time working together at stop and save at Sarah Ann in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Our prayers are with all the family. We pray for Gods utmost comfort and peace be with all of you.
