Hi Susan and Bobby's family,
I was telling my wife today about a story when I was about 6 years old, and Bobby showed me a great act of kindness. The Olson's were building a shed in their back yard. I had climbed up a latter on to the roof. I said something fresh to your brother Bobby who was our paper boy then. I remember him telling me that "I was to big for my britches" (something at the time Ididn't understand). I also remember spitting on him from the roof. As he raced up the ladder, I jumped off the roof and landed on a board with a nail in it. The nail went right through my shoe and into my foot. Your brother help remove the nail from my foot and carried me home. He was too kind to me then, and I didn't deserve it. I did a search today of his name and was sorry to hear of his passing. I had intended to contact him and appologize for my actions back then. I have told this story to serveral people over the years as and example of Christ's mercy. You are welcome to tell this story. Sussan you and your family were kind and generous people, no doubt from being raised by a great mom and dad.
God bless Bobby and your family

Sincerely,
Mike Boyle

Dear Audrey & kids, We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We were unaware of any problems with him. Occationally, I'd see his truck over his mothers house & I would stop by to see him from time to time. I had not seen his truck around for a while & I'm guessing that the ALS was the reason for that? We grew up together as neighbor-hood kids & its just hard to believe that... he's gone! Take Care, our thoughts n prayers are with you all. David & Kathy McDonald. (Weymouth, MA.)
