I am deeply saddened to hear of Mr.Cuffe's passing. He was truly a wonderful man. He touched so many lives. He was a favorite teacher to everyone that was lucky enough to have him. I still use my accounting skills that he taught me so many years ago. He was a blessing to all of my family over the years and as was his nature he was of great comfort to us when both my mom & dad passed.
My deepest sympathy to Walter's family and friends the world will truly miss him as he was "One of a Kind".

Walter Sally and Family, You will always be in my and many others thoughts as I read. Very Impressive with regards to The name Cuffe. If it were to be added to the Dictionary, the Definition would be something like this. "Caring Family, Who would never let you down" When I am in the presence of anyone of your Family. I genuine feel your feelings, attention along with either advice, Solution and Love. You all make a difference and I am proud to have you as an extended family. I would love to help out when or even not needed. May you all stay strong and know that there are many people willing to assist. So don't hesitate, Love always Joey Bryson

Sally, Kerrin, Katy and Kelly. I first met Walter on Sept 11th over 28 yrs ago. My brother in law had a fatal heart attack and died the day before his 40th birthday. My sister had 4 young boys and they had no life insurance. I called the funeral home and Walter was at my sisters house within a few minutes. he told her not to worry about her finacial problems at that time, but to focus on giving her husband a proper farewell. He was the most compassionate person, we had ever met! Through the process we had a fundraiser and alot of private donations, but I am sure it did not defray all costs. He even helped her sign up for social security etc;He went well above expectations! A few years later, I would come to know Walter,Sally and the girls, In the Dental office I worked in.You are a wonderful family, and your loss is also mine. I will always remember him with utmost respect and love.

Lynn and the North Shore have lost a true pillar. Walter went back many years with my family, to the time when he and my late father taught together at Classical High. He was also my guidance counselor at Classical. The compassion and true love he showed the Doonans over the years at the deaths of my father, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law has never been forgotten. His passing leaves a huge void in the community and in the hearts of the countless people of all walks of life whom he touched. Our sincerest sympathies to his family.

June 4, 2012
I didn't know Walter, but he was gracious enough to know me. In 2006 I walked into my brother's wake only to be told by a new staff member that early arrivals were for family only.
Given the nature of the ceremony, I decided to go quietly to the waiting room downstairs with my wife.
Mr. Cuffe soon after came down, apologized, and led us back to the room where my brother's body lay.
Mr. Cuffe buried my grandfather, father, mother, my brother and sister, but I shall never forget that act of grace.
He was a great man.

Dear Sally, Katy, Kerrin, and Kelley,
I was so saddened to learn of Walter's passing. He cared for so many families during their time of grieving with sincere compassion and served their needs during their darkest hours with honor and dignity. He will surely be welcomed into the next world with that same honor and dignity.
I used to play the organ for Walter at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home and at various churches throughout Lynn. Walter had a great appreciation for music and realized the healing solace that music can infuse into grieving hearts. He will surely be welcomed into the next world with song and musical praise for the wonderful presence he was in our world.
May your hearts be filled with love and memories and lightened by the ever pervading presence of your dear Husband and Dad.

I am so very sorry to hear of Walter's passing. My aunt, Ethelyn Berry was a neighbor of his. He generously provided a limo to me and my husband on our wedding day in 1983, and was so very attentive when my mother, Eleanor Johnson passed away one month after my wedding. In 1997 he helped us greatly with the death of my father, Albert. Walter was a kind person who knew how to help the grieving and everyone he encountered with grace and dignity. My family is forever grateful for everthing he has done, and my prayers go out to his family at this most difficult time. God bless you , Walter. May you rest in peace. Dear Sally and girls, my heart is broken for you and your lost, we have had so many years as the Perry's & Cuffe's, the story Walter allways reminded me was that Because we both were going to be married on the same day, he wasn't going to be able to do your wedding flowers, so I changed my date,( due to orders for Viet Nam ) So Dad did get to do your wedding flowers
Who would know we both had 3 girls, and the girls, became friends, too, I guess it is called the circle of life. You both have been so much to so many, and I pray that the Lord will hold your tears and help you heal. I love you!

A little over 2 weeks ago I called you at home regarding my loss and both of you were so Comforting, reminding me that things will be alright, I have embraced everything you have taught me while working beside such a talented team. The education, advice, guidance and love your family has given me throughout the years is irreplaceable. But I ask myself what would "Wally" Do? Again my Dear Friend "Mentor" I will do just that. Sally,
My heart is broken. Walter was a heck of a man. I know you are going to miss that smile and just the wonderful man he was. My prayers are with you and the girls. Naples winter is just not going to the same. I am so glad we got to know you both. Love, Anne from Naples

My sympathies to Sally and the family. Walter was a wonderful man and gave us such comfort many times in our extended family. My dad worked for him for awhile as well many many years ago. He's been a friend of our family for longer than I can remember. With much love from this family, Denise (Ralph) Kearns, No Waterboro, ME ... daughter of Beverly Ralph and the late Frank Ralph, and granddaughter of the late Evelyn and Ray Hanson.

Dear Sally and Family,
I will always remember Walter fondly. Most recently as offering to sit with Dad in the car while I got a wonderful tour of your home by Sally. My family will remember Walter fondly for years to come. May God Bless you all as you grieve his passing.

Mr. Cuffe was a wonderful man. A person of great character and quality. He was always there when people needed a kind word or help with a problem. He and his lovely wife, Sally have instilled the same good character in their lovely daughters, and they in turn, with their children. He will be sorely missed by so many people. He was a pillar of the community. A "one of a kind" kinda man. We extend our heartfelt sympathies.
