To all in Scottys' family please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I've not seen Scotty for many years now but he and I worked the 3rd shift at the Hancock nearly 4 decades ago. He was a true gentleman and he had a wonderful sense of humor as well. I remember a couple of things that he and I experienced while working at the Hancock and one has to do when one evening he called the control room to say he got a flat out on the Mass Pike. Fortunately I had a portable air compressor in my car and went out to "rescue" him. The tire on his AMC Pacer (considered to be one of America's ugliest cars today) was corroded onto the wheel so we pumped it up and he drove into Boston that night and worked the shift with me. In the morning we had to pump the tire back up again in the garage and he drove back home. I remember saying that his car looked like a bath tub on wheels and he should start considering getting a new car with which he laughed as he drove off. The other event was his informing me of a phone call that was made to the control room from some medical personnel at the VA hospital at 4:00 AM that morning and he and I both knew what it meant as my dad had just passed away there. He was very gracious and compassionate to me that morning and allowed me to leave early to attend to the arrangements and visit my mother in Jamaica Plain and give her the news as I had informed the hospital that I would attend to that myself. I will remember him in my prayers this week and I am sorry to have heard of this sad news, he was one of the "good guys".

It has been years since I have seen Scotty, but he was a great friend to my late husband, John, and I have many happy memories of time spent with Scotty during the early years of my marriage. My sincere condolences to Scotty's family.
