Elinor L. Harkins

Elinor L. (Doble) Harkins of S. Weymouth, died Jan. 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard P. Harkins; loving mother of Laurianne Hannon and her husband Edward of Norton, Robert Harkins of Braintree, Nancy Minghella and her husband Thomas of Burlington, James Harkins of S. Weymouth, Richard Harkins Jr. and his wife Christine of East Bridgewater, Ruth Harkins of Weymouth, Diane Kelcourse of S. Weymouth, Michael Harkins of S. Weymouth, Ann Kelly and her husband John of Milton, Eileen Harkins and her fiance Brian Machado of Assonet, Joseph Harkins of Quincy, and the late Paul Harkins; sister of Charles Doble of Marshfield and the late Frederick Doble, Ruth McIntyre, Claire Bradley, Frances Pasquantonio and Leo Doble; grandmother of the late Matthew Harkins. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were held Friday, Jan. 17, from 3-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Relatives and friends gathered in the funeral home Saturday at 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth, at 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
