Frederick J. Lohmar Sr.

Frederick J. Lohmar Sr. of Weymouth, passed away peacefully August 24, 2015, after a long illness. Freddy was predeceased by his wife, JoAnn (Borgasano) Lohmar, and his mother, Rose A. Lohmar. Freddy was an active member of the VFW Post 1399. He loved the Miami Dolphins, Boston Red Sox and Elvis Presley. Freddy made the family get-togethers fun with his off-the-cuff comments and remarks and he'll never know how much humor he provided to everyone. Freddy leaves behind his daughter, Barbara Jean Lohmar of Weymouth; his son, Frederick Lohmar Jr., of Orlando, Fla.; his beloved German Shepherd, Champ #4; his sister, June Hayes of Rockport; his youngest and most dedicated brother, Joseph Lohmar and his wife Carol (Candler) Lohmar of Kingston; brothers, Robert and Theresa Lohmar of Dorchester and Stephen Lohmar and his wife JoAn of Raynham. Freddy also leaves many nieces and nephews; many friends from the VFW Post, as well as his best and oldest friend, Russell. Funeral service will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad Street, Weymouth, at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29. Following the service, friends and family are invited to celebrate Freddy's life at the VFW Post 1399, 601 Broad Street, E. Weymouth. Funeral arrangements were made by the C.C.
