Vickie Moored Obituary

Vickie Lee (Allen) Moored, a woman of unwavering strength, departed to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of April 27, 2025, at home in Allegan, Michigan. She was surrounded by her family, best friend Brenda, and beloved dogs, a testament to her enduring spirit. Vickie, the daughter of Wesley and Francine (Cornell) Allen, was born on September 8, 1953, in Allegan, Michigan. Both of her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis (Pauline Sill) Allen, preceded her in death. She was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Ronald (Terry) Moored, and daughter, Jodi Lynn Moored. Vickie's heart guided her life, as she spent most of her time caring for and racing horses, and her kind heart extended to every stray that came to her doorstep, both human and animal. She will be remembered for her openness and sharp tongue, but primarily for her ability to always make the best of every situation that life threw her way. She was a fighter until the end. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and April (Golombieski) Moored of Allegan. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest joy in her life. She spent many hours with them, and you could often find them at the family farm playing and having fun. She left behind her grandchildren, Alyssa Burkert and Jackie McCoy, and their children Jadelynn, Bryliegh, and Laiton; Jacob (Pockets) Golombieski and Raquella Pettit and their children Willow, Meadow, and Alder; John Moored and Tori (Tess) Smith and their children Lyric, and Leah; and Noah Verile and Hannah Oatman and their son Leon (Gus). She was also survived by brother-in-law Clyde and Marilyn Moored and sister-in-law Marilyn Ziegler as well as nieces and nephews. Vickie's ashes will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony, and a memorial to celebrate her life will be held on.... June 1, 2025 from 1-4 at American Legion of Allegan

Dear Mike and Family, I´m so heartbroken over this news. Vickie took me under her wing and was my trainer when I became an inspector at PERRIGO. She was such an amazing lady, spontaneous, funny especially with all her animals, and loved her family dearly. Vicster, I´ll miss you so much my dear friend !!
Praying that God blesses you with faith, strength and courage to heal your heart at this most difficult time...
Love and hugs Mike stay strong!!
