Bobby Talbert Obituary

TALBERT Mr. Bobby Dewayne Talbert passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007. He was born on Sept. 13, 1938, in Wythe County, Va., to Edward and Josephine Talbert. He was a kind and giving soul who loved his family and friends. A graduate from Mocksville High School, he met his wife Brenda and together they built a life for themselves and family. They undertook many challenges by being "business owners," starting with RV sales, moving to skating rinks and waterslides and finishing with a home improvement business. He always found time for his favorite pastime - fishing. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Wagoner Talbert; his daughters and sons-in-laws, Sandy and George Warwick and Teresa and Jeff Michael; his son, David Talbert; his grandson, Justin Michael; and his brother, James C. Talbert. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, with the Rev Bob McCaskill officiating. The family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 4, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Corporate Director of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Bob was an amazing guy. Our meetings were always interesting, fun, but full of knowledge. He had so much to share and never hesitated to teach to one who was listening. His family will surely feel a great loss but they have also had the great fortune of having him in their lives. Bob made a lasting impression on those he knew. I am grateful I met and worked with Bob. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I've been thinking of your family nonstop and wish there was something I could do to help. It's in these times that we need questions answered and no one can give them. We have to rely on God and know that our loved ones went to join Him. I will be praying for peace and understanding to comfort each of you.

It is still very hard to believe that Mr. Talbert is no longer with us. I will surely miss him coming to our office with that big smile on his face and always making me laugh. He will be missed by all of us at Baldwin Property Management.

Ms. Brenda I am so sadden to hear about the loss of Mr. Talbert. He was indeed a caring man that tried to help people. I first met him when I was a young girl at the skating rink . He and my father became buddies while I skated and then when I became an adult our paths crossed again when I was out buying property. He gave me many tips on purchasing property. I almost bought his office but the city would not allow me to use it for daycare. I will indeed miss waving to him as he drives his ole green truck. May you find peace in the midst of your storm.
