Eric Stiff Obituary
March 27, 1964 - February 9, 2022
Eric David Stiff passed away February 9, 2022 after a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Eric was born March 27, 1964 to Donald Lewis and Jean Sheehy Stiff in DeKalb, Illinois.
Eric grew up in Wilmington, NC and began his studies at Wake Forest University in 1982. After graduation in 1986 he continued to make his home in Winston-Salem. He was a dedicated employee of Members Credit Union for over 30 years. In 2016 he was promoted to Senior Vice President. Eric loved his credit union family and serving the members of Members Credit Union.
After their marriage in 2001, Eric and Cindy enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed Wake Forest sports and spending time with family and friends. He was known to kid and joke with those he cared about. Eric looked forward to spending special time in the evenings with his bulldogs, Cooper and Stella.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Donald Stiff. He is survived by his mother, Jean; wife, Cindy; brother, Jay (Susan) Stiff; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Norma Johnson; and Cindy's brother, Tony (Connie) Johnson; special nieces and nephew, Jaimee Johnson, Lilly Stiff, Michaela Johnson and Tommy Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 20th at 2:00 in the Davis Chapel on the Wake Forest University campus.
In accordance with WFU policy, Covid-19 protocols will be observed, attendees will be required to wear a face mask and show proof of vaccination or have a negative test within 48 hours.

Cindy, Eric and I were close friends at Wake starting in our freshmen year. Unfortunately, we never connected after graduation. Eric had this very dry humor that always made me laugh.
