James DULL Obituary

DULL CLEMMONS James Melton Dull, Sr. February 04, 1926 James Melton Dull, Sr. was born February 4, 1926 in Forsyth County to Richard and Alma Dull of Lewisville. James owned and operated his own business "Styers Ferry Grocery" for 20 years. His specialty was fresh pork and beef. He was a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church serving on numerous committees through the years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, his mountain house and talking to friends and strangers. He was a man who believed in hard work, honesty, integrity had very high morals and a great love for his family. Surviving are his wife, Juanita (Judy) G. Dull; four children and their spouses, Susan Hinshaw (David), James Jr. (Patty), Penny Southard (Mike) and Chris Styers (Scott); nine grandchildren, Jonathan Hinshaw, Wesley Hinshaw (Lisa), Mike Dull (Amy), T. J. Styers (Kim), Aaron Styers, Matthew Styers, Kathryn Lil (Brian), Ashley Southard, and Cooper Southard; two great grandchildren, Nicole Hinshaw and Salem Styers; two step-grandchildren, Bree and Austyn Davis; sister, Nancy Cook (Larry); sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Dull; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. James loved the Lord and his large family. He will be dearly missed by many and his Labrador, Candy. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Concord United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Ford and Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 8955 Concord Church Road Lewisville, NC 27023.
