My heart and prayers go out to the Austin family. Bill, Julie, and Julie-lynn; you guys were my second family growing up and I offer my deepest love and sympathy for you guys during this time! I also pray for all of the people who had the joy and blessing of knowing Luke, I know he was loved by so many.
Luke was one of the greatest friends I had growing up, he had become like another brother to me. There are so many good memories from Doublegate. Luke had such a huge heart and cared for everyone around him, he was always going out of his way to help a friend out no matter what the situation was. His smile and dimples lite up a room the second he walked in it.
Luke I know you are up in Heaven right now watching all of us down here... and probably playing Rockband with Jesus! Can't wait to see you again, Luke. I know when I get to Heaven you will be waiting for me with open arms and a huge smile on your face showin those unmistakeable dimples. Love you always and forever!

Your friend,
Megan

Luke was a fine young man. I had the pleasure of teaching him for Algebra I and II. He was easily one of the brightest in his class - I can still see him after school helping some of his classmates. Thinking of him that way brings a smile to my face. As you are facing such tremendous sadness, always remember that Luke touched many lives and we will all miss him dearly. You will be in our prayers throughout the coming months and years as you grieve the loss of your son, brother, and friend.

Bill, Julie and Julie-Lynn... my heart aches for you. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers; may God give you strength and comfort. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold... In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears." Psalm 18:2,6

Luke was a friend of my daughter's. I had brief contact with him, but what impressed me the most about Luke was his bright smile and kind heart; I know he'll be greatly missed. I pray that you find some kind of peace, while you're dealing with a kind of grief no one could even imagine.

You and your family were in my first thoughts as I awoke this morning. Picturing your boyish grin brought a smile to my face. I asked for an extra measure of grace from God for Julie, Bill and Julie-Lynn. We love them so. The Dahmer's will always remember your zeal for adventure and life.Your "cousin" Meaghan remembers you with joy and laughter.
You touched our lives. You are already missed so very much.
