To the Lee Family...My sincerest condolences I extend to you on the loss of Steven, my former piano student. It was so good to see him June, 2010. We didn't know, but God knew that it would be the last time that we'd see each other on this side of the Jordan. I look forward to seeing him again, on the other side. My prayers are with you and remember that "earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal". God bless....Janet P. Coleman Caldwell

Steve was a wonderful neighbor and friend, a gentleman and a true inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His positive attitude, sunny smile and infectious laugh will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Steve has left us much too soon, but I hope that he is now without pain. His wife, Charmaine, also departed too soon, and I hope they are both comparing notes somewhere, eating Skittles, and wondering what's next. It's true that Steve was an incredibly positive person, and we all knew he was not without pain - he just learned to handle it better that most folks, and how to accept it better than anyone I have known. I will miss the infamous Steve Lee laughter - giggling, even - but we are all changed by having known him. Peace out, Steve.

I hated to hear of his passing. Steve was one of the persons I interviewed with before starting at Sara Lee in April, 2001. I knew immediately that I was going to get aong with him. I worked with Steve until his retirement from Sara Lee. I learned a great deal from steve and counted him among my friends. I have often thought of Steve during the years since his retirement. Steve had an infectious humor that I thoroughly enjoyed. He will be sadly missed. A truly wonderful person has passed. My deepest sympathies to his family. His Brother in Christ, Amen.

When I walked into a room and Steve was there, he was like the sunshine spreading happiness and joy to all those around him. Steve will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Sara

I remember one particular Saturday Steve and I sat at Winston Salem State College for six hours. We were there to answer questions but most of the students were not interested in what we had to offer. It did however give Steve and me a wonderful opportunity to share joys and heartaches of our pasts and to truly get to know each other. Many will share how blessed we were to have Steve for a friend. He truly was a genuine friend that cared for others. He was an inspiration and set a high mark for us to strive for. I will miss his smile and positive attitude. I pray that God will put his loving arms around his family and friends.
