Thomas Brindisi November 6, 1955 – March 15, 2026 Thomas Brindisi, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Utica on November 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Angelo R. Brindisi and Augustina (Gatto) Brindisi. Thomas attended Utica schools and went on to build a remarkable career as a talented sheet metal worker, roofer, and respected business owner. He proudly owned and operated Deluxe Roofing and Sheet Metal Corporation for 42 years, dedicating his life to hard work, craftsmanship, and service to his community. His passion for his trade, along with the many skills he shared, left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to learn from him. Above all else, Thomas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the person everyone could count on-steady, generous, and always willing to help. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Murphy) Brindisi; his six children: Jennifer Ayres (Benjamin Ayres), Andrea Brindisi (Peter Greco), Robert Brindisi (Lindsay Brindisi), Gina Geis (Scott Geis), Alicia Abelli (Adam Konta), and Nicole Abelli; and his 13 cherished grandchildren: Lana Brindisi, Callen Brindisi, Riley Brindisi, Adalyn Brindisi, Elsie Ayres, Kai Ayres, Ari Ayres, Tallulah Ayres, Aidan Geis, Sophie Geis, Liliana Geis, Isla Konta, and Aurelia Konta. He also leaves behind his lifelong best friends, Joe Ming and Ralph Graziano as well as his siblings Regina, Joseph, and Richard. The family extends special thanks to the Hospice team for their compassion and care in Thomas's final days. Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida Street, Sauquoit, NY 13456. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. Family and friends will gather at a later date for a celebration of his life.
