Barbara “Bobby” Shepherd

Barbara L. Shepherd (Bobby), 98, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 21,2025 at Five Star Residence. She was born July 31, 1927, in Williamsport, Indiana and daughter to the late John and Bernice (Kirts) Flint of Williamsport. Bobby graduated from Williamsport High School in 1945. She was a member of the Badger Grove Community Church. Brady Lane Church, Cairo Home Ec (Economics) Club, and Pleasant Grove Grange. She married Paul Sheperd in 1946. Barbara and Paul spent many years in Naples and Sebring, Florida. They enjoyed 54 years together before his passing in 2000. Preceded in death by John and Bernice Flint (Parents), Mary Fix (Sister), Jack Flint (Brother), Paul Shepherd (Husband), Bill Shepherd (Son) and Mike Godby (Son In-Law). Surviving is: A daughter Bonnie (Godby) Haan (Fred) of Lafayette, 8 Grandchildren: Angie Onorato of Battle Ground, William (Andrea) McNaughton of Indianapolis, Greg Shepherd of St. Paul, Anne Shepherd of Lafayette, Levi Shepherd of Lafayette, Stacey (Stephen) Longere of Lafayette, Bill Godby of West Lafayette, and Lisa (Trevis) Peacock of West Lafayette. 21 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W. West Lafayette, IN. 47906 with Jeff Keller officiating. Her burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. Those wishing may contribute in her name to either Brady Lane Church or the Indiana Veterans Home.
