Lawrence Sowders Obituary
Lawrence M. (Larry) Sowders, age 68, of Leesburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, April 18, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Benignus Catholic Church, 204 S. 2nd St., Greenfield, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 12 p.m. with Rev. Mike Paraniuk officiating. Interment will follow in the Hightop Cemetery, Samantha, Ohio. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Creekview Barn beginning at 2 p.m.

I met Larry in 1997 where we both worked for W&S. Larry was building an Agency for W&S in the Mansfield area. I was very fortunate to work closely with Larry during his time in Mansfield and again in North Kentucky/Louisville. He did an excellent job taking a struggling Agency and turning it into a success. During his career I'd say he was perfectly suited to be a manager in Financial Services. He had a strong commitment and desire to help people whether it was a client, member of his Agency or the home office. He was a student to the business, carrying strong knowledge and skills that others tapped into. He had a huge impact on many lives and careers. I will miss my interactions and conversation with him. He was a pleasure to work with and a great friend.
