Alice Devuyst Obituary
She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Sibilia and her husband Philip of Plainville, MA; a niece and goddaughter Jeannette Houle of Woonsocket; a niece Jeanne, a great-niece Michelle and Michael Jordan and a great-great-niece Alexandra Jordan. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice A. Gervais, and a great-nephew Derek Jordan.
Her funeral with visitation will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Please visit www.fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions.

I´m sorry to be late to this but Mrs. Devuyst gave me piano lessons in 1978. Although I moved on to play drums her musical knowledge and ability carry an influence that informs my approach to music to this day. I will always value the positive encouraging experience I had from Alice at the piano. Thank you.

My piano lessons of some 40 years ago did not result in a career change, but I did come to know Alice, a woman of great charm, kindness and patience. For a time, she taught my daughter as well. Fond memories.

My heartfelt condolences to her daughter and family/friends. Although I have not seen this woman since childhood, the memory of her kind, gentle and caring nature can never be erased. Rest in peace dear Mrs. Devuyst...you made this world a much better place for having been here and I am honored and blessed that our family's paths crossed oh so long ago.
