Arthur Corvese Obituary
His funeral will be held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 9:45 am. From the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. In St. Ann Church, 200 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Visiting hours will be Friday 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Burrillville Lions Club, PO Box 414 Harrisville, RI 02830. For further information please visit, www.Marianiandson.com

As a member of the Burrillville Lions Club I was friendly with Arthur from 1988, when I joined, until about 2000 when I became less active in the club. I always thought of Arthur as an interesting and unique character, but I'm sorry that I didn't know of his RI sports records, or that he was a teacher and principal in Burrillville before we met. I'm very sorry to learn of his passing, but am happy to learn so much about the life of my old friend. I still think of him, and drove by his old house on the lake just today.

Sorry to hear of Arthur's passing. I found him a great advocate for the town, schools and especially the youngsters. He was always there when needed! We especially enjoyed sparring over the camping world as a councilman. I learned much from him, he had a great heart!! My prayers are with you all!
