David Casey Obituary

David Barry Casey, 80, of Pawtucket, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Miriam Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John Dyer Casey and Emma (Warner) Casey. He was the devoted husband of Virginia (Davenport) Casey.
David attended LaSalle Academy in Providence from which he graduated in 1958. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Brown University in 1962 and received his Master's Degree from the Colombia University Graduate School of Business in 1964. He went on to serve as an Administrator and Chief Financial Officer for the Rhode Island Department of Health for forty years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife Virginia, he is survived by his beloved children, David Martin Casey and his wife Suzanne of Garden City, NY, Virginia Casey Sears and her husband Jonathan, Esq., of Encino, CA, Loretta Oberholtzer and her husband Scott of Sherman Oaks, CA, Martha Mary Murphy and her husband Charles, Esq., of Fairfield, CT, Anne Casey Le Vassuer, Esq. and her husband William of Fairfield, CT, and Christopher John Casey, Esq., and his wife Heather, Esq., of Silver Spring, MD, his sister, Kathleen W. Casey of Smithfield, and ten grandchildren.
He was a brother of the late Alice B. McCann of Cranston.
His Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Interment followed at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Due to COVID 19, Health and Safety Regulations were in effect.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to: St. Teresa Church "Heart to Love Campaign", 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861, are greatly appreciated.
