Edward P. Laplume

1955 - 2015

WOONSOCKET - Laplume, Edward Phillip, 59, entered into eternal life, after a courageous 2 year battle with Cancer, on October 2, 2015. He was born on December 21, 1955 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was the eldest son of the late Mst. Sgt. Roland A. Laplume and Rose M. (Blanchard) Laplume.
Mr. Laplume (Kaboom) graduated from Mt. St. Charles Academy in 1973 and was awarded the "Hilltopper" Student of the Year Award 1972-1973.
Edward is survived by his life long friend and wife Wendy A. (Ordway) Laplume with whom he lived in Mapleville, RI. They had been married 39 years on October 2, 1976.
Mr. Laplume worked in the fields of security most of his working years. Most recently he was the dispatcher for All Occasion Limousine. He enjoyed his dogs and had a great love for his chocolate lab "Ginger". He loved spending time with family, enjoyed fishing and cooking.
He is also survived by his daughter Kamma M. Dansereau and her husband Matthew of North Smithfield and his son Marc E. Laplume and his wife Heather Jolly of Woonsocket, two grandsons Kaleb and Mason of Smithfield. He leaves a sister Rosemarie A. Desnoyers and her husband Francis of West Greenwich and a brother Phillip E. (Laplume) Wolfe of Cranston, nieces, Crystal and Paula, nephews Michael and Gregory.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11am in the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland. Burial will follow in St. Theresa's Cemetery in Nasonville.
