Michael Spencer Obituary
EAST HARWICH, MA - It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gilmore Spencer, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the age of 69.
Born on January 3, 1956, in Niagara Falls, Michael was the youngest son of Bill and Jean Spencer. He spent his early years in Wenham, MA, before moving to Woonsocket, RI, where he graduated from high school in 1974. He later continued his education at Sylvania Vocational Tech School in Waltham, MA, and went on to build a career as a computer service technician with FedEx. Michael shared 25 years of marriage with his former wife, Linda Jo. Together they raised their daughters, Kathryn Tirrell and Caroline Walsh, who will forever treasure the lessons he taught, the laughter he brought, and the unconditional love he gave. In later years, Michael made his home in East Harwich, MA, where he found peace and happiness.
Michael was a man of quiet confidence, strength, and compassion. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether through his warm smile, wise advice, or the way he showed up when it mattered most. He was happiest surrounded by family, telling stories, enjoying a good meal, or lending a hand to anyone in need.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Kathryn and her husband Thaddeus, and Caroline and her husband Michael; his grandchildren, Josephine, Olivia, and a granddaughter soon to arrive; his siblings, Richard and his wife Lisa, Lynda and her husband Mark, and Nancy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he has physically left this world, his love, humor, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4 - 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough, MA.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church in Wrentham, MA. For more information, please visit Robert and Sons Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Michael's memory to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
We take comfort in knowing that Michael's legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.

My name is Linda Mailloux Michael and I were friends from grade school on had a little flirtationHe was always sweet, handsome, great smile. I´m sad to hear of his passing! Our birthdays were 20 days apart. I was born in the 23rd! It´s nice to know he was so fulfilled in life. I live in Manhattan now! RIP MICHAEL
