Paul L. Begin

BURRILLVILLE - Paul L. Begin, 86, of Pascoag, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Overlook Nursing and Rehab Center, Pascoag. He is survived by his wife Mona J. (Rivet), who resides at 715 Putnam Pike, Greenville and whom he married on July 18, 1959. He was the son of the late Rodolphe and Jeanne (Leroux) Begin. Paul worked at Zambarano Hospital in Pascoag for 35 years where he retired in 1986 as a Senior Administrator. After his retirement from the State, he ran a small engine repair business for 30 years. His mechanical knowledge enabled him to be awarded 3 government patents. He was a member of the Pascoag Council Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife Mona, he is survived by his son, Carl Begin of North Attleboro, MA; his daughter, Janice Begin of Upton, MA and two sisters: Madeliene Olivier of Florida and Pauline Dionne of Pascoag. He was predeceased by his brothers: Maurice, Normand, Ralph and Raymond Begin and his sisters: Lise Spirka and Yolande Landry. His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, beginning with calling hours from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a service at 11:30 AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692
