Paul Lopes Obituary
Born in Seia, Portugal, he was the son of Manuel and Manuela Lopes. He moved to this country in 1967, moving to Pawtucket, and settling in Cumberland.
Mr. Lopes was a self- employed contractor. He was previously employed by Town Fair Tire, Swansea.
Paul was an avid fan of soccer and football; and was a loyal Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Besides his parents he leaves his son, Stephen Lopes; his brother Dr. John Lopes and his wife Teresa of Massachusetts; three nephews, Sean Lopes, Adam Lopes and Noah Lopes; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and in Portugal.
A celebration of his life will be TODAY, Thursday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours were held Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI 02886.

You are gone and this earth will never be the same as I know it. You were the most kind hearted person I have ever known. I love and miss you Paul, watch over us and keep one on ice for me.
