Robert Pelland Obituary
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Irene A. (Marcotte) Pelland, their children David and his wife Sharon, Paul and his wife Elin, Nicole and her husband Reynaldo Ortiz, Debra and her husband Dan Johnson, John and his wife MaryAnne, James and his fiancée Deana Archambault and their 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Normand and his sisters Rita Zeoli and Claire Morin. He was predeceased by his sisters Pauline Travis and Lillian Perreault.
Bob was a veteran of the Navy and a carpenter by trade. Ordained to the deaconate in 1982, he spent much of his life volunteering and ministering to others throughout the Fall River and Rhode Island dioceses and at Camp Ker-Anna.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1030 Dexter Street in Central Falls, RI. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Spirit on Thursday, Aug. 11 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, R.I. at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Camp Ker-Anna, 500 Reservoir Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.
