Simone Badeau

BELLINGHAM - Simone (Plante) Badeau, 84, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Milford Regional Medical Center with loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Marcel Badeau. Born in Woonsocket on September 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Elphege and Ava (Patenaude) Plante.
She was the loving mother of Robert M. Badeau and his wife, Sheri of Rochester, NH, the late Donald R. Badeau and his wife Anita of College Station, TX, Linda J. Bernier and her husband, James "Tobie" of Blackstone, MA, Robin M. Badeau and her fiancé, Andy Shulman of Ware, MA, Donna S. Turcotte and her husband, Robert of Bellingham, MA, and Jason D. Badeau and his wife, Manuela "Mani" of Woonsocket, RI. She leaves her cherished 12 grandchildren, Robert Jr., Michael, Susan, Donald, Tracy, Tammy, Jessica, Jimmy, Bobby, Joe, Briana, Stephanie and 22 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Gertrude Gaulin of Tolland, CT, and the late William Plante, Omer Plante, Gene Plante, Noella Chicoine, Theresa Brizzard, Jeannette Riendeau, Gertrude Gaulin and Yvonne Marcotte.
A longtime resident of Bellingham formerly of Woonsocket where she was raised, Simone worked at Rose Craft Jewelry in Woonsocket until retiring. She ran the concession stand at Mount St. Charles Ice Arena together with her husband Marcel for many years. She also was a waitress at Cape Cod Restaurant and Gerard's Diner.
She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, bowling, making puzzles, and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 10:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
