Susan K. Hope

1958 - 2021

WOONSOCKET - Susan K. Hope (Marshall), 63, of Woonsocket, RI passed away after a sudden and short illness on Friday, July 30, 2021, surrounded by her family. Born in Sharon, MA on June 26, 1958, Sue was the daughter of the late Francis and Louise P. Marshall. She was the loving mother of Danielle Thurber of Woonsocket, Jessica Ramsay and her partner Jared Esterly of Warwick, and Sarah Bobola and her husband Mike of Woonsocket. She was the dear sister of Andrea Donlevy of Attleboro, MA and the late Marcia Sanborn of Brockton, MA. She is also survived by the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Sadie Ramsay. She also leaves behind her ex-husband and friend John Thurber of Pawtucket, along with many adoring nieces and nephews.

Sue made friends easily and was loved by her co-workers, customers, neighbors, and all her daughters' friends. She loved working retail and had a fondness for her co-workers and customers alike. Her daughters could not take their mom anywhere without a handful of people stopping her to say hello. When asked who the person was that just greeted her, she would often say fondly "my" customer. She was friendly, down-to-earth, caring, and always had a kind word to give, which is why she will be sadly missed by not only her family, but so many in the community.
