Lynn Marie Butler

DAVIS, IL - Lynn Marie (Lambert) Butler, age 74, of Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Born in Roanoke, VA on September 11, 1950 to Paul & Verda (Woolwine) Lambert. Lynn worked for many years in the restaurant business and for several years each at Lamp's Elevator, UDL and FedEx. For the last 25 years, she co-owned Cedar Crest Morgans Farm as a horse breeder and caretaker which she loved. She was a lifelong avid gardener, dog and animal lover and enjoyed her hummingbirds. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband of almost 41 years. She is survived by her husband, James Butler; step-daughters, Beth (Kyle) Gowdy, Angela (Niel) Butler Magsombol and Jennifer (Paul) Menzies; step-grandchildren, Ahren, Alec & Trey Gowdy, Ethan & Nyla Magsombol and Jacob & Gideon Menzies; siblings, Elizabeth (Ted) Edlich and Robert (Laura) Petrie; sister-in-law, Dolores Lambert; special nieces, Sara (Chris) Scott, Eva Rosa (Mike) Powers; and god-daughter, Kristina Lambert; several beloved nieces and nephews; uncle, Berman (Myra) Woolwine; aunt, Alice (HL) Greene; and loving dog, Lola. She is predeceased by her parents; siblings, Perry Lambert, Debbie Johnson, Norman Petrie, Roger Petrie and Sue (Joey) Stump; nephew, Travis Johnson; aunt, Dorothy Booher; and uncle, Calvin Woolwine. Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 3:00pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm.
