Mark Laffoon Obituary

Mark Allen Laffoon, age 73, of Worthington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born in Sullivan, Indiana on August 2, 1951, the son of Eugene Laffoon and Clarice (Wilson) Laffoon. Mark served in the United States Army from 1969-1972 and again in 1975-1981. After serving in the Army, Mark and his wife Lana moved to Florida and lived there for over 40 years. Mark was a Guest Service Manager for Walt Disney World. He enjoyed being outdoors and reading. Mark enjoyed working in his yard as well. He and his wife loved to travel and a few of their favorite places were Germany, Canada, and Alaska. You could always find them together no matter the place. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Worthington and the American Legion Post #106. He is survived by wife and best friend, Lana (Todd) Laffoon, whom he married on December 24, 1973; siblings, Judy Gearhart, Bill Laffoon; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joy Gearhart, Donna "Cookie" White, and Randy Laffoon. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
