Patricia A. Artman

Mrs. Patricia A. "Pat" (Crum) Artman, age 91 of Robinson, IL, passed away Monday June 23, 2025, at 6:10 PM EST at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN following several days of failing health. She was born at home in Robinson, IL on November 16, 1933, the daughter of Chester and Jarvis (Kilburn) Crum. She married the love of her life, Doyle V. Artman, November 10, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2014. Pat spent most of her life as a mother to two children and a farmer's wife. After her family was raised and out on their own, Pat took a job at the local ASCS office as a secretary and retired in 1995 from Crawford County ASC Office in Robinson, IL. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Kirk Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Robinson, IL. Besides loving and enjoying time with her family, she and Doyle enjoyed square dancing, riding motorcycles and playing music, making many lifelong friends along the way. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Janie and John Smothers, Robinson; her son, Rodger Artman, Annapolis, IL,grandchildren, Megan and Tim Conrad, Terre Haute, IN, Aubrey Schifler and Deana Kearby, Robinson, IL and Zoey Smothers Robinson, IL; Great grandchildren, Taren Williamson and Olivia Matlock, Kansas City, MO, Mason Jones, Robinson, IL; Jaxon Jones, Terre Haute, IN and three step-grandchildren, Eric and Kim Smothers, Christie and Josh Harrison and Stacey and Jason Langley all of Robinson, IL along with 10 step-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Bobbie Lloyd, Del Rio, Texas; Betty and Garry Clark, Findley, Ohio and cousin, Skip Westall and lifelong friend, Dorothy Hollingsworth. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Doyle and a granddaughter, Whitney Artman along with a brother-in-law, Dan Lloyd Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday June 26, 2025, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson with Bro. Randy Nave officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until the time of the Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm on Thursday June 26, 2025at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, IL. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Kirk Chapel United Methodist Church or to Good Samaritan Hospice, Vincennes, IN., with envelopes available at the funeral home.
