Johnny Acker Obituary

John Williams "Johnny" Acker, Jr., age 55, of Gordo, AL died April 12, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 18, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, John William Acker, Sr. and his grandparents, Arthur and Trannie Hall and Earnest and Edna Acker. Survivors include his son, Blake Acker and wife, Amber; mother, Peggy Acker; two brothers, Terry Acker and Rex Acker and wife, Teresa; two grandchildren, Easton Acker and Ellie Jo Acker and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Johnny was born July 17, 1969 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a retired machinist for B.F. Goodrich. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O.
