Michael Dean Schittler, age 64, of Fleetwood, PA passed away on Thursday, June 26th in his home. Born in Reading, PA he was the husband of the late Barbara (Kiedeisch) Schittler and son of the late Richard Schittler and Donna (Wagenhurst) Weinman.
Mike graduated from Oley High School and worked for many years at the Fleetwood Tannery and after they closed began working in landscaping and eventually started his own landscaping and snow removal company. He owned a hunting camp in northern PA and liked spending time there with family and friends. Mike loved his Dobermans, enjoyed riding his Harley and always loved watching racing, especially NASCAR and his grandson, Kenny.
Surviving Mike is his brother, Brian Schittler, husband of Jodi (Cogan House), nephew Matthew Schittler (Oley), niece Hunter Schittler (Williamsport), step-daughter Wendy Sheetz, wife of Scott (Temple), step-son Ken Miller Jr, husband of Kim (Morgantown), grandson Kenny Miller III, granddaughter Desiree Sheetz and great-nephew Michael Schittler.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zoe's House Rescue, https://www.zoeshouserescue.com.
