Charles Landfried Obituary
CHARLES ROBERT LANDFRIED, 81, of Kenna, passed away July 17, 2023 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born November 3, 1941, the only child of the late Russel and Ersil (Bailey) Landfried.
He was a 1959 Ripley High School graduate. Charles served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in France. After serving, he went to work for Columbia Gas and in 2000 retired after 36 years of employment. He then worked part-time at Bob's Gun Store in Sissonville for 8 years.
Charles had two lifelong hobbies, photography and shooting sports; he shot competitively in several venues throughout the years. He also enjoyed traveling, and after retiring went to Europe, something he spoke often of doing.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine Faber Landfried; sons Rob, Pete (Lyn) and Chris; grandchildren Nathan, Trevor (Cassy) and Bailey.
Service will be Friday, July 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.
